KIN HUI

Mr. Kin Hui is the CEO of Singpoli Group and Chairman of Invest L.A. Regional Center. He leads Singpoli companies that specialize in real estate investment and development, general construction, property management, and architectural and building design. Today, Singpoli companies have numerous real estate investment and development projects on both the east and west coasts of the United Sates.

Kin's philosophy in life is to give back to the community. As founder of the Kin Hui Charity Foundation, he is devoted to helping special needs children in orphanages. Singpoli has provided sponsorships to many non- profit organizations, such as Pasadena Symphony and Pops, American Cancer Society, California Institute of Technology, Huntington Library, Pasadena City College, and University of California, Irvine.

Kin has received numerous recognitions from the U.S. Congress, California State Senate, California State Assembly, County of Los Angeles, and City of Los Angeles in honor of his community service and contributions. A few notable awards that he has received include the History Makers’ Visionary Award for Excellence in Leadership, the Excellence in Achievement of World Chinese Youth Entrepreneurs, and the President’s Award from the Chinese American Construction Professionals.

DAVID S.K. LEE

Mr. Lee is the CEO & Chairman of Hing Wa Lee Group. a company focusing on retails. real estate and entreprenurial investments. Mr. Lee was appointed Commisioner of the Small Business Reform Task Force of the state of California. Due to his achievements, Mr. Lee also received 2014 USC Entrepreneur Hall of Fame, 2014 Sing Tao Media's Philanthropy Award and 2014 City of San Gabriel Bell Award.

GANG DING

Mr. Gang Ding is currently the CEO and Co-Chairman of BDK Capital, LLC, an investment company active in various real estate projects in the State of California. 

Mr. Ding has over 20 years of real estate development and investment experience. He has invested in many fields around the world, including real estate, energy, mines, old city renovation and other projects that are synergistic with his other investments. Mr. Ding and his companies have successfully made business footprints on the Asian, European, Australian and North American continents. 

In the past decade, Mr. Ding has expanded his investments in the US. With his continued confidence in the U.S. real estate market, BDK Capital was formed as a joint venture founded by Mr. Ding and his business partner Mr. Kin Hui, CEO of Singpoli Group. Both Mr. Ding and Mr. Hui have extensive experience in real estate developments. Based on this strong partnership, BDK Capital aims at building quality properties and improving community life in the U.S., including the Town & Country luxury community in Pasadena and Landmark Tower complex in the City of Milpitas, heart of the Silicon Valley. 

Mr. Ding has founded the following international companies: Macao First Global International Co., Hong Kong Global International Co., Bading (Hong Kong) Company, Global International (Australia) Co., Australia First International Investment Co., and Australia First International Resources Co., Canada First Source International Co., First Global International Investment Group Inc., First Global International Trading Group Inc., and Europe & Australia Investment Group. 

Mr. Ding is also committed to giving back to local communities in the greater Los Angeles area. He currently serves as the honorary Chairman of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles. Mr. Ding is also a great supporter for education, and has made donations to local colleges and universities in the Los Angeles community. He currently serves on the Claremont Graduate University Drucker School's Board of Visitors and Caltech’s Board of Associates. Mr. Ding is also Board of Director for Methodist Hospital Foundation. In 2015, in recognition of Mr. Ding’s global understanding and continuing effort to solve the challenges of tomorrow, Anaheim University granted its highest degree of Doctor of Humanities Honoris Causa to Mr. Ding.

FABIAN B. PASCOAL

Fabian Buddy Pascoal is a partner and one of the founding members of HANAFIAH PONGGAWA & PARTNERS (HPRP). Joining HPRP in 1992, he was made a Partner in 1999.

Pascoal graduated with a Bachelor of Law degree (S.H.) from the University of Indonesia in 1992, and was awarded a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) by the University of California at Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law, U.S.A. in 1998.

Furthermore, Pascoal is a registered Advocate in PERADI (Indonesian Advocate Association), holds a license as an Indonesian Capital Market Legal Counsel issued by the Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK / Otoritas Jasa Keuangan – previously known as BAPEPAM-LK / Capital Market and Financial Institutions Supervisory Board), and is also registered as an Indonesian Intellectual Property Consultant before the Directorate General of Intellectual Property Rights, Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia.

As a leading figure in HPRP, Pascoal has played an important role in a wide range of significant transactions involving both domestic and international business in various types of work such as foreign direct investment, mergers and acquisitions, corporate and debt restructuring, real estate, intellectual property rights, commercial litigation including arbitration, mining, and plantations.

Pascoal was one of the contributors to Asia Globe Magazine, a well-known Indonesian English language magazine and World Business Book – an annual business book published by World Bank, Washington D.C. He is also a regular speaker at legal and other forums, seminars, and workshops held by the government, associations, and corporations, both domestic and international.

JULIA GOUW

Julia S. Gouw is Retired President and Chief Operating Officer of East West Bank – one of the top 30 largest banks in the nation that serves as the financial bridge between U.S. and China. Prior to joining East West Bank in 1989, Gouw was a Senior Audit Manager with the accounting firm KPMG. 

Gouw was ranked one of the “25 Most Powerful Women in Banking” five times by American Bankermagazine and has received the Los Angeles Business Journal’s “Women Making a Difference” award two times in recognition of her achievements and philanthropic contributions. Gouw is also a member of the Trusteeship, an International Women’s Forum affiliate organization that connects preeminent women in leadership positions across various professional fields.

Gouw currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Pacific Life and ECMC.

Gouw was the founding chair of Executive Advisory Board of the UCLA Women’s Health to promote women’s health both in research and medical treatments. She also endowed the UCLA Chair of Mood Disorders Research especially in women in memory of Dr. Lori Altshuler.

 

Born and raised in Indonesia, Gouw came to the United States in 1978 where she earned her B.S. degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

HELEN HU

As the director of Shanghai Ronghai Exit & Entry Service Co., Ltd., Ms. Helen Hu has devoted to the areas of overseas investment on real estate, international education, and multinational health management. Ms. Hu’s philosophy is that always to contribute more to society than to make profits. Due to her efforts and achievements, Helen gained the recognition and reputation of business circles all over the world. Helen is a trustee of China Japan cellular medical research foundation, and also is a trustee of Shanghai Health Industry Association. Meanwhile she is a member of China education development alliance as well.

 

Born and raised in Indonesia, Gouw came to the United States in 1978 where she earned her B.S. degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

BENJAMIN M. WU

Dr. Ben Wu is Professor and Chair of the Division of Advanced Prosthodontics, and the Director of the Weintraub Center for Reconstructive Biotechnology at the School of Dentistry. He joined the UCLA School of Engineering in 2000 and holds formal academic appointments in the Department of Bioengineering in the School of Engineering.

Dr. Wu provides multidisciplinary patient care in the UCLA Faculty Group Dental Practice, where he focuses on the treatment of advanced, complex oral rehabilitation using implant, fixed, and removable prosthodontics. He is a fellow of the Academy of Prosthodontics.
